Alice is a journalist. When she gets a strange telephone call which scares her, Tom, her fiancé hires Matthew Hill, a private investigator to act as a bodyguard for Alice. Things go from bad to worse in a hurry but only on Wednesdays.

The book is written in the third person point of view between Alice, him, and Matthew. The story moves from the past to the present setting the scene for the sequence of events. The characters are well developed, and the story is fast paced. The twists will leave you guessing up until the end. This was the first book I have read by this author, but it will definitely not be my last.
