My name is Dawn Thomas, and I am the owner of Belladonna’s Books and Belladonna’s Garden. I regularly post reviews on Belladonna’s Books website, Facebook, Instagram, Goodreads, LinkedIn, and Twitter. I enjoy finding new authors and want to help increase their audiences.

For almost ten years I was the editor and book reviewer for the Global Goddess ezine, The Oracle. The Oracle was published 8 times a year and we had more than 200 readers. In addition, other bloggers posted links to The Oracle which increases our readership. Global Goddess is a non-profit organization that helps women worldwide.

In 1999, I started making soap as a hobby I loved the science involved with the soapmaking process. In 2011, I decided to go back to school to finish my degree and my soap took a back seat. I am proud to say I graduated from the University of Florida (Go Gators!) and am now focusing on soapmaking. In 2014, I became a member of the Handcrafted Soap and Cosmetic Guild. In 2015, I became a Certified Soapmaker in Cold Process and Melt & Pour Process.

I began making soap because I wanted to control what went on my body. I read labels on food and realized I wasn’t reading labels on bath and body products. Once I did, I found I didn’t know some of the ingredients. I began researching ingredients and was surprised with the chemicals used in soaps and body products. I made a decision to take a stand and began making my own.

I am grateful for the ability to create handmade products. It is my goal to inform customers of the benefits of natural products. All I can say is, “Thank you”.

We are located in West Central Florida. We love spending time outside and maintain a certified backyard wildlife habitat.
