Coffeehouse manager and reluctant sleuth Juliet Langley returns in a gripping novel from the bestselling author of Death Before Decaf and Mug Shot. Just as things are perking up in Nashville, a serial killer sends tensions foaming over. Juliet's personal and professional lives have recently received an extra jolt of energy. Her romance with the hunky detective Ryder Hamilton continues to simmer, and business at Java Jive has never been better. But her good mood…

Juliet Langley, Jules to her friends, is the manager of the Java Jive coffee shop in Nashville. Chaos begins when she finds her neighbor Chelsea dead and soon after Kira, a Java Jive employee and Chelsea’s roommate goes missing. Jules gets involved and starts investigation for the missing woman. Her on-again-off-again boyfriend homicide detective, Ryder Hamilton is not happy about it and tells her.

She goes undercover looking for a job with an escort service and as a potential egg donor. The investigation becomes dangerous the further involved she gets. When a friend’s husband is arrested, Jules wonders who is really behind it.

This is third book in the Java Jive series. There were some twists in the story that I did not see coming. The story is fast-paced, and the characters are developed. If you like cozy mysteries, you will probably like this one.
