Marianne O’Hara lives on New New York, a world created from a steel asteroid. They sell steel to the earth for gases. The people from the Worlds are not ashamed of their bodies and sex is a natural part of life. She meets a scientist named Daniel. He is from the earth, but he is the only specialist of his kind. As a part of her university studies, she is offered a trip to earth for political and sociologic purposes. Her flight lands in Florida and then she is transported to New York. She meets Jeff in one of her classes. He works with the FBI but wants to finish school to change careers. O’Hara gets somewhat involved with a fringe rebellion group. She can break away with her school tour to Europe and the rest of the United States.

The book has a building pace, the characters are developed, and it is written in the third person point of view. It took me three tries to get into this book but once I did, I was hooked to the end. Although they are sexual beings, there are not many sex scenes. The time she is on earth is violence with a lot of action. If you like futuristic type stories with rebellions and corrupt governments, you may enjoy this book.
