A large conference center is the subject of a terrorist attack by Russians. Desmond Aloysius Limerick (Dez to his friends) is there because he was invited to play bass guitar in a band. As the attacks intensify, Dez makes friends with Cat, a burglar. Together they work to regain control of the conference center. This is just the first of several attacks on Dez and Cat. Now they are beginning to feel personal.
The book has a fast pace, the characters are developed, and it is written in the third person point of view. Desmond Limerick is one of my all-time favorite action heroes. He is a gatekeeper with super skills. If I was in trouble, I hope Dez is around to rescue me. If you like quirky action-adventure stories, you may enjoy reading this book.
