As an adult, she became an interior designer until she married Henry. He was very abusive to her. She fakes her own death and escapes to her Aunt Myrtle’s place in the northeast at Crow Lake. Piers learns about her family but doesn’t want to follow their tradition.
The book has a building pace, the characters are developed, and it is written in the third person point of view. I really enjoyed reading this book. If you like general fiction with a sprinkling of fantasy, you may enjoy reading this book.
