She saved for a year to have enough money to escape. Stephanie is a news manager at a local station. She is traveling to San Diego for a work conference. Her neighbor, Robert, is watching her cat. She attends a few sessions and meets Trent, a news manager. He has taken an interest in her. When she does not return to work on Monday, her coworkers are concerned. They text her but the answers they get back do not comfort them.
The book is fast paced, the characters are developed, and it is written in the first-person point of view from multiple perspectives. This is well written and if you like mysteries, you may enjoy this book.
