This is a great book for people beginning with Ayurveda practices. It is an ancient practice that dates back 2,500 – 5,000 years ago. It works on the principle of treating the patient and not the symptoms. This overall treatment includes not only the body and mind but the spirit too.

The author does a great job breaking the subject down, so it is easily understandable. The images in the book are clear and easy to read and understand the connections. The wellness practices include yoga postures, recipes, rituals and routines.

I loved the information on the doshas. The recipe for ghee is easy to make. The information for journaling, breathing for focus, and entries on mindfulness is very good and so easy to do. I thought the information was excellent for headaches, anxiety, menopause, IBS, breathing problems, cough and cold, tired eyes, back pain, and insomnia. I highly recommend this book to anyone that is interested in learning about Ayurveda practices.
