Die for Me: A Bragg Thriller
This is the eighth and final book in the Peter Bragg series. Maribeth is a psychic. In the past, Peter saved Maribeth’s life when she was about to commit suicide. Now she is having visions of dead bodies and they are beginning to haunt her. She wants someone to find them and that someone is Peter Bragg. He hires a pilot and is accompanied by a forensic anthropologist – a bone detective to fly over areas to see if they recognize an area that could be a body dump. When they land and survey the area, they learn the property had been home to Jack London. What they find surprises all of them.
The story has a steady pace, and the characters are developed. It is written in the first-person point of view. The book is somewhat dated since it was written before cell phones and other modern technology, but I thoroughly enjoyed that fact. I was sad to learn of Jack Lynch’s passing and this would be the final Bragg mystery. If you like hard-boiled fiction with a witty private investigator, you will enjoy this book too.
