This book is written for teachers and instructors although it would be a benefit for administrators and possibly parents. The author discussed the reasons students are distracted in classroom settings and more recently remote learning situations. He believes attention is an achievement and it is achievable in teaching environments. The main reason given is technology and the use of devices. He made some suggestions to engage students like moving around the classroom and making eye contact. He stated the importance of creating a community not only between the teacher and the student but also among the students themselves. If you are an educator or have an interested in the debate to keep or remove digital devices from classrooms, you may like this book as reference.
