Divine Meditations: 26 Spiritual Qualities of the Bhagavad Gita
This book is divided into four parts:
Yogic Meditation – She describes the eight-step path to enlightenment
Taking it Deeper with the Bhagavad Gita’s Twenty-Six Soul Qualities – The author explains the Bhagavad Gita and Sri Krishna’s message within it. The qualities are found in three verses.
Meditations on the Twenty-Six Qualities – Each meditation follows a quality. For example, the first quality is Fearlessness (abhayam). For this quality, there is a writing exercise and a prayer followed by a grounding and connecting exercise. She also includes a breathing exercise associated with this quality followed by a meditation and an affirmation.
Transcendence through Devotion – This part begins with a breathing exercise to connect to the Divine. This is followed by a devotional meditation and poem.
There were many parts of the book that I really enjoyed. The meditations are beautiful, but I had difficulties with the Christian and biblical references. I recommend this book to anyone that would love to go deeper with their meditation.
