This story picks up where the first book ended. Katherine Price decides to stay in France with Philippe. Their relationship is blooming and neither one of them are ready for it to end. One day when they are getting into their car, Philippe finds a note under the windshield wiper and is upset after he reads it. He will not tell Katherine about it. She is okay with that for a while but then demands him to tell her. His first wife was addicted to cocaine when she was dying. Her mother and her associate were providing the drugs. They blackmailed Philippe into using a piece of his land to move their drugs or they would tell everyone that Philippe was the one providing the drugs to his wife.

This is another wonderful story. It has a steady pace, the characters are well developed, and it is written in third person. I do not usually read romance novels, but this series is beautifully written. Even if you do not usually read romance, I think you should give this book a chance. The description of the countryside alone is a reason to read it.
