Eleven months ago, after the death of their parents, twins Lia and Tyler moved from their family home in New York to their grandmother’s home in Sydney, Australia. Every aspect of life is different—school, climate, and relationships. At the end of the school year, Lia and Tyler meet Coen and their lives change even more.  Coen tells them who they really are and their roles in the Resistance in Gaea.

The story is fast paced, the characters are developed, and it is written in the first-person point of view. I enjoyed the action but found it a little unbelievable that the major characters would trust a stranger to take them to another world. I guess since they lost their parents and barely knew their grandmother, they felt like they had nothing left to lose. I look forward to reading  the next book in the series. If you like fantasy and sci-fi young adult books, you will enjoy reading this one.
