The Hidden Witch (The Coven: Academy Magic #1)
Magic. Isn’t. Real. At least that's what I thought. But now, my story is changing... You know you’re invisible when even your bullies forget to pick on you. That’s me, Bettina Blair, hidden in plain sight. No matter how hard I try I just never fit in with my classmates. Now I know why. I’m a witch...apparently. One little demon attack and my parents confess their ugly secret…and ship me off to an elite academy…

Since her best friend moved away, Bettina has tried to make friends. She snuck out of the house to go to a party. Things go from bad to worse and she wonders if this was a good idea. The next day at school, a demon attacks her in the bathroom. Bettina fights for her life using ever ttrick she knows. The appearance of the demon means Bettina’s parents can no longer protect her. She is sent to Eden to attend a special school to learn magic and how to protect herself.

The book is written in first person present tense from different points of view. The story is fasce paced and flows very well. This is the first book in the Academy Magic series. There are crossovers between this book and the Coven series. If you enjoy the Harry Potter book series, I cannot recommend this book enough. Chandelle is an excellent storyteller. I look forward to reading her books for years to come.
