Unfortunately, Alessa, being the Finestra, is an obstacle for many residents. She stands for things they have never had. They do not trust her and believe she has ulterior motives. This is especially true with Talia, Dante’s best friend. No one knows Alessa and Dante are in a relationship, and they must keep it that way until Alessa and the Fonti are accepted.

The book has a steady pace, the characters are somewhat developed, and it is written in the third person point of view. This is the second book in the series but did not have all the energy the first book had. If you like sci fi and fantasy young adult stories, you may enjoy this book.
