Cassandra and Silver are 20-year-old twin souls. They are back on earth after living on an alien planet for five years. Their first night home, their uncle Germone is attacked. If they were not in the kitchen looking for a midnight snack, he would have been murdered and the assassin would have gotten away. Tensions abound between Cassandra and James since Silver has a relationship with Mez and now James is jealous. The community is under attack and everyone needs to be battle ready.
The book has a steady pace, the characters are somewhat developed, and it is written in the first-person point of view. The first book was written from Cassandra’s (the active twin soul) point of view. The second one was written from Silver’s (the passive twin soul) perspective. This book is also from Cassandra’s perspective and was better than the second book. This is the third book in the series. Although this is written like a teen & young adult novel, the first book in the series is not.
