David Paterson was the Lieutenant Governor of New York under Elliot Spitzer from 2007-2008. After a sex scandal, Elliot resigns, and David becomes the Governor. What David doesn’t realize is the games that are involved in politics. There are accusations coming from several directions and people he thought he could trust turn out to be different than he thought.

The book is written in first person point of view by David. He goes into detail about the dealings he had before, during, and after becoming Governor of New York. I remember hearing about some of the events in the book and was amazed to see what happened behind the scenes. It is an excellent book about political life and how it can affect a man. If you are interested in New York history and/politics, you will enjoy reading this book.
