The author describes how threads or cords are used in different religions. She discusses her travels and experiences with cords in rituals or blessings. She explained how to make a twisted cord. She said it took longer to write the directions than to actually twist the cord. I was intrigued and searched for a video on the internet to see the process. She was right. She writes about the history of fibers, fabric and dyes both natural and synthetic. She also includes ways to use cords and knots for magical purposes and includes astrology and numerology. If you are interested in working with cords, I would recommend starting with this book.
