Fiction, Children’s Fiction

Eden is a twelve-year-old genie. She loathes her life and wants to see life outside t=of the lamp. She comes across two siblings, Tyler and Sasha, after escaping the lamp. They were surfing when they saved her from drowning. They bring her home and she begins to see life through their perspective. They live in a small apartment, and they have never traveled outside of California but their lives are full.

Since Eden has been out of the lamp, she has learned about two groups of alumni that are interested in her. One group wants the lamp for their own uses and the power it could wield. The other group want her to return to provide the guardians. She does not want to return but fears for the future of the guardians if she does not.

The story’s pace builds. The characters are somewhat developed, and it is written in the third person point of view. It is a wonderful story for children, and I look forward to following installments.
