The author wants to learn about her ancestors and travels to her family homeland. She encounters a moose with a baby and drives off the road. She meets a Wood Sprite and the next thing she knows she is back in time with her great-great-grandfather.

I was very confused reading this book. I thought it was going to be a fairy tale, but it is really a dream-like experience for the author. Instead of enjoying her time with her ancestors, she wants to go back to the present time to see Count Bonde to learn about her past. She repeats certain things in the story, like the blue hand-knit wood hat and the sentence, “How did I get here and how can I ever find a way to get back? I must get back to meet with the Count.” Considering the book is 104 pages, it took me days to finish reading.
