Ingrid and Mayra were friends in Miami, then Mayra left to go to the University of Florida for a graduate program. Out of the blue, Mayra calls her and invites her to come stay at a house in the Everglades. When she gets there, she realizes Mayra is not alone. Time seems altered at the house and Ingrid begins to feel trapped. She finds an old journal written by a girl named Jenny who describes being trapped in the house. Now all Ingrid wants to do is leave.
The story jumps from Ingrid to Jenny, the characters are not very developed, and it is written in the first-person point of view. I did not feel the story was very believable. If you like science fiction with a time warp theme, you may enjoy this book.
