This severely affectedly her throughout her life.
The book has a steady pace, the characters are full developed, and it is written in the third person point of view. When I saw the cover of this book, I was immediately drawn to it. The subject of a doctor creating and performing lobotomies was intriguing. As I read the book, I found myself performing research into the procedure and the men behind it. I was shocked to realize there really was a doctor that travelled performing lobotomies. If you enjoy reading historical fiction with a medical twist, I think you will like this one.
