There is an attack by Afghan mercenaries on the yacht Aurora owned by Valtteri Lehtonen, a Finnish businessman. He was seeing Celeste Clicquot, the head of Interpol. Alex Martel, a CIA contractor and secondment to Interpol, has been friends with Celeste and was a guest at the yacht party. She worked with Iain Street, head of security, to remove the gunmen and get the guests to safety. Alex returns to the United States for a new assignment when there is another attempt on Celeste and Valtteri. The Russians have been making noise about attacking Finland like they attacked Ukraine. Both superpowers have their fingers on the nuclear button. Can Alex and the team stop things before they go too far?
The book has a fast pace, the characters are developed, and it is written in the third person point of view. There is a lot going on in the book, but it moves quickly. If you like international fiction, you may enjoy this book.
