Margot Harriman is now President of B&H Foods. She is using her position in society to throw a charity event to help the local charity hospital. Shortly after the event, a nurse falls to her death from the hospital and it is ruled a suicide. Margo’s friend and investigator, Rett Mancini, is not convinced. She takes a job as a nurse’s aide to get more information about what is happening in the hospital.

Margot sees a connection between the charity hospital and a luxury clinic where the rich and famous go for treatment. A doctor recommends that Margot be admitted to deal with the stress she is dealing with since taking over the company. When a friend of Margot’s dies at the facility, she is admitted into the facility and begins her own investigation. Neither Margo or Rett have direct contact with each other. They depend on others to help them get out of their situations.

The story has a steady pace, the characters are developed, and it is written in the third person point of view. If you like historical fiction with devious doctors and questionable medical treatment, you may enjoy reading this book.
