The custodian of Commonwealth Pizza smelled an unusual odor as he entered the restaurant. When he opened the smoking pizza oven, he was looking into the vacant eyes of a human skull. Sargent Graham asks Hakeem Jinnah, the local newspaper crime reporter, to ask around the community. He goes to a biker bar and begins asking questions which results in a barroom brawl. Now Jinnah’s box wants him to make a public apology. His wife, Magit is trying to find out what is affecting the patients at the community clinic. All of this is happening three days before Jinnah is supposed to be leaving for Africa.

The story has a fast pace with somewhat developed characters. It is written in the third person point of view.  Jinnah is a flashy dresser, hypochondriac, and flirts with women. I know this is classified as a mystery, but I found a bit of comedy with Mr. Jinnah. If you like light mysteries with a bit of fun, you enjoy this book.
