Chloe, a survivor of 9/11, works at an art gallery. Her roommate, Vik, recommended her for the job. Her mentor, Lou, gives her a few assignments to research the background of a Monet painting and prepare for an art exhibition for a performance artist, Inga. Chloe has PTSD and uses alcohol to forget. She drinks until she blacks out. After a party at Inga’s, she wakes up in her apartment, naked, and no memory of how she got there. Now the police are investigating Inga’s murder and she is a suspect.
The book has a fast pace, the characters are somewhat developed, and it is written in the third person point of view. If you like mysteries with some art, you may enjoy reading this one.
