The future for Willamena (Wills) Wester has been mapped out for her by her grandmother, the Witch of Wester House. When she graduates from school, she will marry her cousin Terrence and take her place. Wills has other plans. She wants to go to college and get as far from the small town as she can get. Bailey Wester, Wills’ granddaughter, wants the same things but for different reasons. Life has not gone as each had planned. They need to spend time getting to know each other to finally be free.
The story has a steady pace, the characters are well developed, and it is told in the third person point of view. The story moves back and forth from 1976 to the current time. The narrator does an excellent job bringing the characters to life. If you like generational drama with a touch of ghosts, you may enjoy listening to this book.
