Father Michael Dominic, a recent arrival to the Vatican in Rome, has been assigned a position in the Vatican archives under the supervision of Calvino Mendoza. He makes friends with Karl Dengler, a Swiss guard who invites him out with his cousin, journalist Hana Sinclair. Father Michael and Hana strike up a friendship and the two of them begin researching together. Father Michael is researching Berenger Sauniere and Hana is researching the stolen Jewish artifacts by the Nazis. The two of them stumble across information the church and another secret organization does not want revealed. Father Michael and Hana are now in danger, but they don’t know it yet.
The book has a fast pace, the characters are developed, and it is written in the third person point of view. If you like the DaVinci Code, you will like this book.
